The wife of Cameroon’s Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali, has been kidnapped in an attack by Boko Haram fighters on Ali’s home in the northern town of Kolofata, Reuters report.
According to Cameroon’s information minister Issa Tchiroma, who confirmed the incident, the home of Vice Prime Minister Amadou Ali in Kolofata came under a savage attack from Boko Haram militants, killing at least three people. The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it will force Governor Kayode Fayemi to contest in the 2023 presidential election. Paul Omotoso, the state caretaker chairman, who was represented by Ade Ajayi, the state publicity secretary, said this during a programme organised by Olusegun Osinkolu, a chieftain of the APC, for 1,000 members of the party in Ekiti north senatorial district, on Saturday.
