
Good luck to you, Leo Grande Daryl McCormack. The 31-year-old Irish actor is the latest suspect in Rian Johnson’s murder mystery, “Knives Out 3.”
Daniel Craig is returning as the quirky detective Benoit Blanc in “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” as the third installment is officially titled. He will star alongside the previously announced additions of “Fleabag” actor Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, “Challengers” breakout Josh O’Connor, “Priscilla’s” Cailee Spaeny, Jeremy Renner and Mila Kunis.
Johnson is writing, directing and producing the third “Knives Out” mystery. “Wake Up Dead Man” goes into production this summer, so expect more casting announcements in the next few weeks. It is slated to be released by Netflix in 2025.

In the original 2019 “Knives Out,” Benoit Blanc attempts to figure out who killed the renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey, who died on the night of his 85th birthday. Blanc takes on an entirely new case in the sequel “Glass Onion,” revolving around a tech billionaire who invites his closest friends to a private island for a murder mystery game. Plot details for the third entry haven’t been disclosed, but Johnson promises it will be the “most dangerous case yet.”

Lionsgate released the first film, which became a box office hit, before Netflix bought the rights to the murder mystery series for more than $450 million.
McCormack is best known for the comedic drama “Good Luck to You, Leo Grande,” starring alongside Emma Thompson. His other credits include Sharon Horgan’s Apple TV+ series “Bad Sisters” and “Peaky Blinders” Season 5. Before he gets caught up in Benoit Blanc’s latest case, McCormack will be seen in Universal’s disaster epic “Twisters,” which opens theatrically in July.
