Hon Reuben Izeze, a member representing Ughelli South Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, was Thursday night, shot by unknown gunmen at Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State. Althogh, details of the attack were hazy as at of filing of this report, it was learnt that the gunmen opened fire at Izeze’s vehicle at close range.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State has responded to allegations claiming that Governor Douye Diri is instigating false charges against Timipre Sylva. The All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier claimed that Diri intend to make Sylva look guilty of crimes he did not commit in order to distract him from effectively pursuing his petition at the state governorship election tribunal.
